Emergency Help Details

At Right Sight Opticals, we understand that eye emergencies can happen suddenly — and when they do, every moment counts. Whether it’s a chemical splash, an accident, or a sudden loss of vision, our team is ready to respond quickly and professionally. We provide emergency care daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, ensuring that urgent eye issues receive immediate attention before they become long-term problems.

If you experience any of the following symptoms, seek help immediately: Sudden or partial loss of vision Severe pain, redness, or swelling in the eye Chemical burns or foreign objects in the eye Flashes of light, floaters, or shadows in vision Eye injuries caused by accidents, debris, or sharp objects In case of emergency: Call us at +255 769 767 677 or visit our clinic between 10:00 and 21:00 hours. If your emergency occurs outside these hours, go directly to the nearest hospital with an eye unit, then contact us for follow-up care.

Vision screenings use inadequate testing equipment.

Many eye emergencies arise because initial screenings were done with inadequate or outdated tools. At Right Sight Opticals, all our vision screening and emergency assessments are performed with modern, calibrated diagnostic instruments that ensure precision and reliability.

Our emergency screenings may include: Visual acuity tests using advanced digital eye charts Slit lamp examination to inspect the cornea, iris, and anterior chamber Tonometry to check eye pressure for glaucoma or trauma Pupil reflex testing to detect neurological or internal eye damage We make sure every patient receives an accurate evaluation — no guesswork, no shortcuts.

Comprehensive eye exams

During an emergency or follow-up visit, our optometrists carry out a comprehensive eye exam to assess the full extent of injury or infection. This helps us determine whether you require immediate care, ongoing monitoring, or specialist referral.

Every emergency visit includes a full eye check to find the cause and extent of the problem. We look at: The outer and inner parts of the eye Changes in vision The retina and optic nerve (using dilation if needed)

The benefits of surgical procedures

Right Sight Opticals does not perform surgical operations on-site. However, our clinicians are trained to stabilize, assess, and refer patients requiring surgical care to hospital eye units that perform surgery.

  • Corneal lacerations
  • Retinal detachment
  • Severe chemical or thermal burns
